Join Hollywood & Highland Center and KJAZZ 88.1 FM for the 5th annual Wine, Jazz and Moonlight series . Enjoy free concerts by some of the country's top jazz performers every Tuesday from 7 to 9pm in the central courtyard of Hollywood and Highland Center during the months of June, July and August. The event is FREE to the public and a wine tasting donation with wine provided by Wente Vineyards benefits Project Angel Food.

The L.A. County Museum of Art once again presents it's Saturday Latin entertainment series. The series start in May and continue through September. The lineup includes many great Salsa bands as well as other great Latin sounds from around the world. More artist will be added in the future. They also have Jazz music on Fridays and chamber music on Sundays for FREE. You can also check those events at the link above.

Susie Hansen Latin Band

Every Friday, June through September, 6:30-9:30pm, we will be back at the Radisson Hotel Whittier at 7320 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier. This is our 15th summer of "Dancing Under the Stars." Join us again all throughout the summer and unwind with Salsa right after work. In this popular summer event each Friday hundreds of terrific Salseros join us to dance and socialize in this lovely outdoor environment. A buffet dinner grill is available. Tuesdays, beginning July 1st through August 26th, The Rumba Room presents Summer Night Salsa featuring dance instructor Marco Antonio and salsa band La Esencia. Come out and learn how to salsa from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, then stay for dancing with live music until 10:00pm.
 
Marco Antonio is a personal friend and a great fun instructor who also happens to be a great singer. He'll teach you to dance Salsa then sing for you as you dance!!
 
The lesson & entertainment are free, but parking is $10 after 5:00 P.M... Carpool and save few bucks!!

The Autry’s annual Sizzling Summer Nights live music and outdoor family dance party returns for an extended summer-long session filled with the scintillating sounds of mambo, son, Latin jazz, charanga, and Afro-Cuban beats. Burbank Swing & Salsa Dancing
 
Thursdays in July and August

Downtown Burbank turns into an open-air dance hall as thousands swing and Salsa under the stars to the best in live music every Thursday in July and August. Festivities kick-off at 6:00 P.M. with free swing and salsa classes. Once the band starts at 7:00 P.M., participants will dance the night away on AMC Walkway at the corner of San Fernando Rd. and Palm Street. Concerts are free, and are presented by the Downtown Burbank Partnership.

The hardest working woman in Salsa and her awesome band have an incredible amount of FREE Salsa performances scheduled all year long. Please say hello to her and tell her you hear it from me. She is a super nice person!!!

On Saturday, September 13, 2pm to 3:30pm, we will be at the Lawndale Multicultural Fair in Lawndale. The location is Jane Addams Park, 15114 Firmona Ave. Entire festival runs from 12noon to 6pm. Call 310-973-3270. Free.
 
On Sunday, September 21, approximately 3:30pm to 5pm, we will be at the Glassell Park Festival in Northeast Los Angeles. Please note the change in date. The location is the Glassell Park Recreation Center, 3650 Verdugo Rd. The entire festival runs from noon to 6pm. Free. Check our web site later for the exact time we play. Call 323-257-1863. Free.
 
On Saturday, October 4, approximately 2pm to 4pm, we will perform at the Inglewood Celebrates the Arts Festival in Inglewood. The location is historic Market St in downtown Inglewood. Check our web site later for the exact time we play. Call 310-412-8700. Free.
 
On Sunday, October 12, 4pm to 6pm, we will return to Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa for "Dia de la Raza" on campus. The address is 2701 Fairview Road, the location is outdoors on the Quad. There will be other great entertainment, too. Salsa dancing. Free and open to the public.
 
On Friday, October 17, 7pm to 8:30pm, our Latin jazz quintet will be part of the Claremont Depot Jazz Series in Claremont. The address is 200 W First St. Call 909-399-5490. Free.
 
On Sunday, October 19, 4pm to 7pm, we will play for a church festival at St Stephen Martyr Church in Monterey Park. The address is 320 W Garvey Ave. The entire event runs from 12noon to 7pm, with Mariachis, Indonesian dances and other acts. Call 626-573-0427. Free.

This will be our fourth quarterly Free Salsa class of the year and will be a lot of fun for those in attendance. It is a great way for all your friends, coworkers and relatives  who admire your Salsa dancing to give it a try for themselves for FREE! It leads into our Fall session and we look forward to having many of the guests attending this Free event joining us. I'm scheduled to teach this class with the assistance of my dance partner Nicole Inman and we look forward to seeing our old students too so please join your friends on September 14th as Hollie Lee and Body Groove Fitness and the City of Burbank Park sponsor this well attended community event.
